Well actually, just finished.
Thanks again, Billy!

Where have I been?
I guess I've been a tad side-tracked by Euro 2008. The new season of Kathy Griffin's MY LIFE ON THE D-LIST has already started! I caught the repeat of the season premiere last night, and it was, of course, hilarious! Season 4 is airing on Bravo, Thursdays at 10pm.
Kath also has a comedy album coming out tomorrow! On the way home tonight, I passed by a billboard promoting it at the intersection of Sunset and Crescent Heights. Her billboard ranks not too far below my favorite billboard EVER; the Freddie Ljungberg for Calvin Klein one:
P.S. Going back to Euro 2008, there's a big game tomorrow. It's a practical re-match of the World Cup 2006 final, as Italy takes on France for a spot in the quarter-finals (June 17th on ESPN at 11:30am PST).

P.S.
I forgot to mention that I went to a lovely and chic restaurant in Vegas called VINTNER GRILL. The food was so delicious, especially the calamari that came with a surprisingly fantastic lemon and curry aioli. I highly recommend it if you want to go to a nice restaurant off the Strip in Summerlin.
Speaking of Vegas, on my flight there, I read the recent issue of Vanity Fair (with Tina Fey and other funny ladies on the cover). Although I was so excited to finally get the issue, I was disappointed in the end because there was no mention of Kathy Griffin or Margaret Cho, who are both amazing comics.
Finally, I was also able to catch a flick while in Vegas. My hosts and I saw BE KIND, REWIND. It was cute and funny but ultimately just a rental. ;)

Suck it, L.A. Galaxy!
The Los Angeles Galaxy had the audacity to mail me a 2008 Season Tickets renewal form today! After what I've been through during this horrendous season with Sweet Cheeks David Beckham, all I can say to them is (to quote Kathy Griffin) "Suck it!" I have no interest in giving them another big chunk of change EVEN IF Becks is 100% healthy for 100% of the 2008 season.
So, I crossed out all of the financial terms on my renewal form and instead wrote my ticket rep this note:
I just faxed the form over to them, and I feel a little better...
So, I crossed out all of the financial terms on my renewal form and instead wrote my ticket rep this note:
Dear Dan,
You are a very nice ticket rep, but unless the Galaxy acquires John Terry or Freddie Ljungberg, the Galaxy would have to PAY ME to renew my season tickets. The $ I already spent on this year's season tickets is probably the biggest waste of $ that I have ever dealt with... In the future, I think I'll just stick with single game tickets, and I would appreciate discounted or free ones for what I've gone through during this disappointing season.
Sincerely,
Lady Hooligan Kat

More Important But...
I know there are more important things in the world, but...
1) England takes on Russia today in a Euro 2008 qualifying game, with my beloved John Terry as their fearless leader!
2) Led Zeppelin is reuniting for one show!
3) John Stewart has been confirmed as the host of the 80th Academy Awards, which will take place on Feb. 24, 2008.
4) The incomparable Kathy Griffin dishes on her Emmy win and the awful VMA's.
5) One of these days, I need to get my ass over to Georgia and to one of Robby Ginepri's charity tennis events at his own club (Old Towne Athletic Club). He's hosting a LADIES DAY this Friday, Sept. 14th!!!

More Important But...
I know there are more important things in the world, but...
1) Thankfully, England won their Euro 2008 qualifier against Israel yesterday (without Sweet Cheeks by the way). Perhaps now, they might actually qualify for the tourney!
2) Last night, I went to a gala for Farm Sanctuary. I was happy to support such a noble animal rights organization, but I was more thrilled to meet the amazing Paul Reubens (although I was too shy to get a pic with him; argh)!
3) Kathy Griffin won an deserved Emmy for her fab reality show ("Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List")! Sweet!
4) In U.S. Open news,
- Sveta Kuznetsova lost in the finals yesterday; boo!
- Bravo to Dinara Safina (Marat's younger sister) and Nathalie Dechy for winning the Women's Doubles title!
- Novak Djokovic takes on Roger Federer today in the men's final (today at 1pm PST on CBS)! Go Novak!

Emmy Nods
The 2007 Emmy nominations were announced early this morning. Here are the only shows (with nominations in various categories) that I care about: THE OFFICE, 30 ROCK, EXTRAS, GREY'S ANATOMY, KATHY GRIFFIN: MY LIFE ON THE D-LIST, and PROJECT RUNWAY!
And a hearty congrats to Justin Timberlake and Andy Samberg (and their crew) for their Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics nomination for "Dick in a Box"!
The 59th Primetime Emmy Awards airs Sunday, Sept. 16th at 8pm on FOX.
