I just skimmed this one. Although I love ANTM & Nigel, I wasn't in the mood to take self-portraits and create my own portfolio.

Random LHK Update

2) McKey won Cycle 11 of ANTM tonight; LAME! I'm not sure about ANTM anymore. Although I love me some Nigel, there haven't been any amazing stand-out contestants for the past several cycles.
In fact, Lady Lorelei just informed me today that she's officially retiring as an ANTM viewer. I'm on the fence about it...
You Wanna Be On Top?
Ooh-OOH! The Cycle 11 America's Next Top Model season finale airs tonight (on the Cee-Dub/CW at 8pm). It's down to the top three. I put my money on Samantha, but unfortunately she probably won't win it. And, I don't like either McKey or Analeigh. LAME!

I can't take much more of...
Tyra and crew's lameness on ANTM! Due to Tyra's antics and "skits", the show is getting worse and worse. But, of course, I did enjoy tonight's make-over portion and photo session.
The LH gang and I will be betting on our picks for the winner before next week's episode. But overall, it looks like this might be the last cycle we'll be gambling on and possibly tuning into; there's only so much we can take of Tyra.
I think (foxy judge) Nigel needs a show of his own 'cause I'd definitely tune into that (unless his wife was featured on it).

Ooh-OOH! The season premiere of America's Next Top Model airs tonight (on the Cee-Dub/CW at 8pm).
Oh lawd! We're already on Cycle 11, but I can't wait to see some Nigel!

Boo, Tyra!
Listen, I've been a loyal ANTM viewer since Cycle 2, but Tyra Banks is getting BEYOND annoying now. She needs to tone it down a bit.
ANTM ain't her stage or her talk show, so I'd like to see less of her lameness. I can't stand the new Tyra-vision feature, and it's so ridiculous that she constantly imitates the models. Can't anyone on her staff talk some sense into her? Seriously, can't one person correct her and tell her that Katarzyna is pronounced Kata-jenna and not Katarj-niza?!?!?
Sorry, just had to vent... Still LOVE you, Nigel!

She's on TOP!
Saleisha is the winner of America's Next Top Model's Cycle 9! I'm fairly surprised that she made it to the end, but the girl nailed that runway from day one! So, I'll give her some props...

More Important But...
I know there are more important things in the world, but...
1) Marat Safin lost to Igor Andreev in the Kremlin Cup today; at least his sister, Dinara, won her match.
2) In Chelsea FC news:
- Henk Ten Cate has officially signed on as our new First Team Assistant Coach.
- There's a crazy story that Chelsea's new manager, Avram Grant, may want to sell Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba in order to buy AC Milan's Kaka!
- John Terry may have hurt his knee during a training for England's upcoming Euro 2008 qualifying game against Estonia. Argh; there's only so much I can take!!
3) It looks like Madonna is leaving Warner Brothers and signing a huge new music deal. Go, Lady! Sell it!
4) BOO to ANTM! How dare they introduce Nigel Barker's wife on last night's show! It was completely uncalled for and (dare I say) an intentional infliction of emotional distress. Although Nigel's make-up artist wife only consulted on a make-up challenge, I don't want to see her on the show, and I frankly prefer to pretend that she doesn't exist...
5) A great radio show that I dig, On the Corner, has been moved to Sunday afternoons (from 3pm-5pm on KCRW). Hosted by the sexy Frenchman, Mathieu Schreyer (aka Mr. French), the show features cool tunes from around the world.
6) The LACMA Salvador DalĂ exhibit opens on Oct. 14th!

More Important But...
I know there are more important things in the world, but...
1) UPDATE to yesterday's post about the Wes Anderson short film "Hotel Chevalier": Apparently, it will now be released in Apple stores on Oct. 2nd and then FREE on iTunes on Oct. 3rd. So, next week, not this week. By the way, I can't believe October is right around the corner!
2) Set your DVR's! The U.S. takes on Brazil in the semifinal of the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup (Sept. 27th at 5am PST on ESPN2). The winner meets Germany in the Final on Sunday, Sept. 30th.
3) My cousin (or cuzin I should say 'cause we like to pronounce it "Perfect Strangers" style) took me to her Inner Power Yoga class last night. All I can say is that yoga = YOWZA! It was an hour and a half class that was amazing but very difficult. I'm a bit sore today, which is ironic considering yoga is basically extreme stretching. My cuzin actually likes to describe yoga as a combined workout and massage, and, she's totally right! I definitely was sweating up a storm, but when the class was over, I have never felt as relaxed. Anywhoo, despite the bare feet everywhere (I have a sliver of OCD), I'd recommend this class to anyone. For only $16, you get a very self-indulgent and revitalizing work-out, set to new-age music of course!
4) On TV tonight, I'll be checking out:
- ANTM (8pm on the CW) of course! I don't have a winner picked just yet, but I have it narrowed down to 4 or 5 models, and after tonight's first official photo shoot, I hope to have it narrowed down to at least 2.
- I'll also give "Private Practice" (9pm on ABC) a shot too (pun intended). I'm a "Grey's Anatomy" fan, so I have to give the spin-off a chance (although the preview episode last season was not that appealing to me).

You Wanna Be On Top?

In any case, this cycle's "theme" is "the future of fashion", and the competition looks (dare I say it) FIERCE! Look out!

More Important But...
I know there are more important things in the world, but...
1. The adorable Jimmy Fallon just got engaged. Sigh...
2. John Terry has been declared fit to play in the upcoming Sunday EPL clash against Livepool; thank goodness!
3. Once again, I am left trying to decide whom to root for in an ATP tourney after my 2 beloveds (Robby Ginepri and Marat Safin) were "eliminated" (I watch too much ANTM). With all of the Croats and Serbs out of the Cincy Masters tourney too, I guess I'll root for James Blake.
