The 2008 Golden Globe nominees were announced today, and THE OFFICE was snubbed in the Best Comedy series category! Putting that travesty aside, here's a list of my picks:
BEST MOTION PICTURE, DRAMA = Eastern Promises
BEST MOTION PICTURE, MUSICAL/COMEDY = Juno
FOREIGN LANGUAGE PIC = Persepolis
BEST DIRECTOR = Joe Wright, Atonement
BEST DRAMATIC ACTOR = tie between Viggo Mortensen (Eastern Promises) and James McAvoy (Atonement)
BEST DRAMATIC ACTRESS = Angelina Jolie (A Mighty Heart)
BEST ACTOR, MUSICAL/COMEDY = tie between Ryan Gosling (Lars and the Real Girl) and Johnny Depp (Sweeney Todd) *UPDATED 12/22/07*
BEST ACTRESS, MUSICAL/COMEDY = Marion Cotillard (La Vie en Rose) [although Ellen Page was fab in Juno]
SCREENPLAY = Diablo Cody (Juno)
TV SERIES, DRAMA = Grey's Anatomy
TV SERIES, MUSICAL/COMEDY = 30 Rock
BEST ACTOR, TV SERIES, MUSICAL/COMEDY = tie between Alec Baldwin (30 Rock) and Steve Carell (The Office)
BEST ACTRESS, TV SERIES, MUSICAL/COMEDY = tie between Tina Fey (30 Rock) and America Ferrera (Ugly Betty)
P.S. Tracy Morgan should have been nominated for his supporting role on 30 Rock; another travesty!
