Okay, after a little break, I'm back to my sports. Check out these links for some nice updates on Robby Ginepri and John Terry/Chelsea FC.
Despite setbacks and losses this seaon, both seem to be exhibiting more hunger to win, so I can't give up on them.

New Music (&DVD) Tuesday
Only a couple of items sort of caught my eye:
P.S. Is it just me or does the lead singer of Goldfrapp look like one of the Olsen twins on that album cover?

Give me a break!
The final whistle has blown, and Chelsea just lost the Carling Cup to Tottenham (1-2 in extra time). I'm spent...
By the way, Robby Ginepri lost in the semi-final of the SAP Open yesterday.
It hasn't been a good weekend in the world of LHK sports. So, I'm taking a much-needed break from it all for a little bit...

Tennis & Music
Robby Ginepri beat James Blake tonight at the SAP Open!! Yay, Robby!
Speaking of tennis, Sophie and I went to the Temple Bar tonight to see our favorite cardio tennis instructor, Jensen, perform his alternative-rock-rap-hybrid music. Although rap isn't really my thang, all I can say is BRAVO to Jensen for being so passionate and getting out there.

Another Pretty Match!
Tomorrow (Friday), Robby Ginepri meets James Blake in the quarterfinals of the SAP Open in San Jose. They just played last Saturday in Delray, but let's see if Gineps can beat Blake this time. Go Robby! Unfortunately, I don't think this particular eye-candy match will be televised on the Tennis Channel; boo!

The Champions!
UEFA Champions League is back in action with Round of 16 matches starting today! Chelsea takes on Olympiacos (live on Setanta at 11:30am). Go Blues!
P.S. The gang and I saw IN BRUGES the other day at the Vista. Despite it's lame ending, it was a pretty good and quirky movie. Colin Farell provided the eye-candy, and the $5 matinee tix were a steal, so I can't really complain...

Random LHK News
1) Congrats to Frank Lampard on scoring a century of goals (now 101) during Chelsea's 3-1 win over Huddersfield Town yesterday. The game also featured the return and excellent play of my beloved John Terry! Yay!
2) The gang and I had some karaoke fun last night at a new restaurant in Korea-town called La Defence. We booked a private room with a big rectangular booth and drank/ate/sang the night away in honor of our friend (and local football player) Laddie McFresh's birthday. The food and service were very good, and the karaoke videos were SOOOOO hilarious!
3) In tennis news, Robby Ginepri lost to James Blake yesterday in the semi-final of the Delray Beach International. Robby was playing so well, and he was actually ahead in both sets, but eventually lost in 2 sets (6-4, 6-4). I'm heart-broken for Robby, but I was SO happy to just see him back in action (looking as foxy as ever of course)! James Blake's final against Japanese teen Kei Nishikori airs this morning at 10:30am PST on Tennis Channel.
4) I'm off to see IN BRUGES later today. I'll let you know how it is...

Chelsea & the Broad!
1) Chelsea takes on Huddersfield Town in FA Cup action tomorrow morning with my BELOVED John Terry due back in the line-up (Sat. Feb. 16th on FSC at 9am PST). Go Blues!
2) The gang and I checked out the Broad Contemporary Art Museum tonight. It's a modern structure right next to LACMA that you can't miss. There's a lovely cluster of lampposts at the entrance on the sidewalk on Wilshire Blvd. I definitely need to go back one more time to catch some of the artists I missed, but from the artists I did see, my favorite was probably Ed Ruscha. Thank you to Lady Lorelei for inviting us...
Happy Birthday, Dogg!
Happy Birthday to the one-and-only EJL (aka Dogg aka Merlin)!
"If I wanna ride a zebra, I'm gonna ride a zebra!"
P.S. Check out THE SMALL HOURS tonight at a free show at Safari Sam's!

1) Gorgeous DJ, Mathieu Schreyer (aka Mr. French), is now in a Converse ad for Target. Wow, he's taking off big-time! First, the Duran Duran video, next dating Rosario Dawson, now a Target (of course pronounced Tar-JAY) ad....
2) The creator of the wonderful graphic novel and film Persepolis, Marjane Satrapi, was recently on the Colbert Report; check out the very funny video:
3) On a sad note, I'd like to say rest in peace to my and Lady Candy's sweet friend, David. I don't know what else to say, except to quote Gramz again, "Honey, you gotta laugh to keep from crying."

New LH Cocktail!
My friends and I invented a new cocktail this weekend called AMETHYST THUNDER! Mix 2 parts sparkling rosé with one part blue hawaiian (preferably of the Boone's pre-mixed malt beverage variety) and ENJOY!
P.S. 1) Kylie Minogue is back together with the gorgeous Olivier Martinez; nice work, Lady!
2) My last three posts mention booze; hmm...

Super Bowl!
Ok, it's not REAL football, but I'll be tuning into the NFL's Super Bowl today between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants (on Fox at 3pm PST) nonetheless.
Of course, I'll be rooting for the Patriots, and I think it's great that they have a shot at a 19-0 season. But, the main reason I'll be tuning in is because their quarterback, Tom Brady, is a stone-cold FOX!
Oh yeah, and I also love Cape Cods (get it, New England)!
