The Farmers Classic (part of the US Open Series) got underway yesterday at the LA Tennis Center on the UCLA campus!
Robby Ginepri (a wild card and coming back from injury) played and lost to Yen-Hsun Lu in the first-round yesterday afternoon, and I WASN'T THERE to see him!
I had a lot of work to do and didn't feeling like ditching the office early on a Monday afternoon. Also, I was kind of feeling frugal and didn't want to spend $40 (for a ticket + parking). Wait, what is wrong with me?
One of my ALL-TIME favorite players is playing in my home-town on the campus of my alma mater, and I couldn't get it together to go?!? I need to re-examine my priorities! I HATE it when my job subconsciously interferes with one of my life's main pleasures.
Maybe it's a sign of maturity (i.e. putting work first; saving $) or maybe I need try harder to find a job that includes something I love (e.g. tennis, soccer, male models). In any case, I'm definitely going to the tourney on Wednesday (tomorrow), no matter what the draw. I already gave the powers-that-be a heads-up at work, and I'm going to take advantage of the book donation promotion to get a free ticket.
I'm going to pay for convenient parking though. Hahahahaha!

This is a short book, filled with typos. In the very first sentence, the author gets John Terry's birthday wrong. Hmmmpf!!!
