The Champions
Even though I still think Barcelona stole Chelsea's spot in the Champions League final, I'm kind of glad that Barca SPANKED Manchester United today in Rome.

If you're jonesing for some French Open coverage while at work and away from a TV (as I'm sure I will be for the next 2 weeks), check out French Open Live presented by Capital One via Tennis Channel TV!!
Tennis Channel didn't air any of Jeremy Chardy's match today, but I was thankfully able to see it as an archived match online.

LHK Tennis News
Robby Ginepri is back in action this week after a long absence and recovery due to appendicitis. Gineps took on Philipp Kohlschreiber at the ARAG World Team Cup in Dusseldorf today. Unfortunately, he lost in three sets, but I'm so happy that he's back in action and can't wait to see him at the upcoming French Open!
Also, in the World Team Cup, Jeremy Chardy is teaming up with compatriot, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in dubz. Nice!

Sunday Movie(s) Review
It was a double movie day for me today.
This morning, Bill and I saw ANGELS AND DEMONS. Like the book, it was pretty good (if not a bit melodramatic and predictable). And, Ewan McGregor is in it....as a (yummy) priest! Don't worry, I already have a one way ticket to hell.
Then, this evening, Dr. Lee and I finally saw RUDO Y CURSI. I was dying to see this movie because a) it's soccer-related and b) it stars the foxy boys from Y TU MAMA TAMBIEN. So, for the two reasons I just listed, I OF COURSE liked the movie.
Overall, I can't complain; it was a good movie day.

LA Tennis Open
The crew and I just secured our tix to the opening night of the LA Tennis Open (formerly the Countrywide Classic). I know it's still a few months away, but I wanted to be sure to have tix for the awesome exhibition match taking place on the opening night of the tourney (Monday, July 27th).
Marat Safin is taking on Pete Sampras in a re-match of their 2000 US Open final, and I can't wait!

Saturday Movie Review
Bill, Raff (aka Mom) and I caught STAR TREK this afternoon, and although it wasn't on my must-see list for the summer movie season, I actually quite enjoyed it.
The actor who plays Spock, Zachary Quinto, was really appealing to me. I know he's on HEROES and was pleasantly surprised to learn that he also played Tori Spelling's Persian American gay side-kick on SO NoTORIous as well.
Another nice surprise was the actor who plays Dr. McCoy, Karl Urban. I recognized him from the BOURNE franchise and just read that he was also in the LORD OF THE RINGS franchise.
So overall and thanks to some cuties, the movie exceeded my expectations.

What Can I Say?
It's May, and I'm heart-broken over Chelsea and the Champions League AGAIN! Since I haven't gotten over last year's devastating loss, I don't think I'll ever get over this year's either. BUT, I keep telling myself that there are more important things in the world and that (to quote the title of Sia's last album) some people have real problems.
I wasn't even sure if I would continue this silly blog 'cause who really cares anyway... But, I think I'm all cried out now, and I of course still care about Chelsea. John Terry is still my hero, and for better or for worse, I am FOREVER BLUE (pun-intended)...

Sunday Movie Review
The crew and I went to see the first blockbuster of the summer today: X-Men Origins: Wolverine. It was pretty much what I expected: a fun popcorn action movie with eye-candy!
Hugh Jackman was so buff and delicious, and a beefy Ryan Reynolds was a nice surprise too.

LHK Tennis News
1) Rafa Nadal continues his domination on clay, winning yet another title today. He beat Novak Djokovic in the final of the Rome Masters. Even though I miss his sleeveless shirts, I'm really looking forward to seeing if he can win the French Open title again (it's only three weeks away)!
2) My two favorite female players, Svetlana Kuznetsova and Dinara Safina, met in the final of the Porsche Grand Prix in Stuttgart today, with Sveta ending up the victor. Congrats to them both!
3) My belovedEDs Jeremy Chardy and Marat Safin are also currently in Germany at the BMW Open in Munich.

Live Music Tonight
BT and I went to the Robin Thicke - Jennifer Hudson show at the Nokia Live tonight, and it was really delightful. Robin Thicke is so darn cute and sexy and that J-Hud sure can sing!
Before the show, we dined at a cool spot called THE MUST BAR, recommended to us by RD. Check it out the next time you're looking for a nosh-spot downtown.
P.S. We saw Robin Thicke driving in his black Porsche as we were leaving the venue, and I had my camera handy!!

Chelsea takes on Fulham in EPL action today (at 6:45am PST on Setanta), and our captain, John Terry, will be making his 400th appearance.
P.S. A really fun charity event, the Global Tennis Showdown between Will Ferrell and Mats Wilander, is taking place at UCLA this afternoon.
