LHK Weekend Round-Up
Lots to report, Kids:
1) First of all, HAPPY EASTER!
2) On Friday night, Soph and I decided (rather last minute) to check out TRAVIS at the Wiltern. I'm a huge TRAVIS fan, but I unfortunately didn't love their recent album. In any case, they always put on a great show, and they didn't disappoint on Friday night. Their bass player Dougie's groovy bum-shaking always cracks me up. Oh and their opening act, The Republic Tigers, were really cool live too.
4) Chelsea beat Bolton 4-3 in a nerve-racking match on Saturday. Bravo, Chelsea!
5) On the tennis front, there's been a good amount of TV coverage on TENNIS CHANNEL this weekend. Unfortunately, none of my beloveds were on air. But, I'm looking forward to this coming week, as the Monte Carlo Masters has begun (and coverage starts tonight on TC at 1am PST)!!
Speaking of my beloveds and Monte Carlo, Marat Safin meets Leyton Hewitt in the first round. Jeremy Chardy meets Juan Monaco, and I didn't see Robby Ginepri on the draw sheet. I'm assuming he's still recovering from his appendicitis??
6) Last night, I had the pleasure of going to the KCRW Radioactive Spring Dance Party.
It was so fun to dance the night away to the tunes of all their great DJs. A big thanks to EJL and Shimmy for hooking me up.
7) As far as tonight, I'm planning to finally see a movie sequel (on DVD) that I've been dying to see:

Live Music
Just got back from THE BIRD AND THE BEE show at The Echoplex. Although I'm a big fan of their fab lounge/electronic music, I was skeptical about their live show. But, exactly as my tennis classmate Scot had assured me, they put on a really fun show. Their covers of Hall & Oates' "I Can't Go For That" and the Bee-Gees' "How Deep Is Your Love" just melted my heart!
LHK Tennis Update
1) Jeremy Chardy is seeded 4th at this week's US Men's Clay Court Championship tournament in Houston. Allez, Jeremy!
2) And, congrats to Andy Murray on beating Novak Djokovic in Miami yesterday.

Eye-Candy Sighting!
The crew and I saw MICHAEL VARTAN playing tennis this afternoon as we were leaving our weekly dubz game! I didn't want to bug him, so I limited my staring to just a couple of walk-bys.
He's a beautiful specimen of a man, and I wish he was in more projects that I could see him in...

Restaurant Review
Ronz and I checked out LUAU in Beverly Hills tonight. I think I agree with most of the other reviews I've seen online; it's quite delicious BUT expensive. I'm not sure I'd rush back there, but I really wanted to check it out at least once.
World Cup Qualification
The 2010 World Cup qualies continue today with the biggie of the day between England and Ukraine.
P.S. Suck it, England! Just kidding; April Fool's!
