Chuck
The second season of CHUCK airs tonight (yes, it competes with my beloved guilty pleasure, Gossip Girl)! But thankfully, iTunes had offered a free pre-air episode of it last week, so I actually have already seen the CHUCK season premire. And, I was pleasantly surprised to see/hear one of my favorite songs by the FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS, "Foux Du Fafa", used in the episode!

Friday Movie Review
Some pals and I caught TROPIC THUNDER after work tonight, and (despite the controversy over the depiction of physically challenged people) I must admit that it was quite funny. I'm happy that we saw it on the big screen too 'cause the cinematography was surprisingly amazing (it was filmed on Kauai).
Another pleasant surprise was that it was co-written and produced by (the gorgeous) Justin Theroux. Unfortunately, Justin wasn't on screen for more than a few seconds; I could have sworn that I saw him as one of the random soldiers in a helicopter.

Art Shows
1) The lovely Yumiko Kayukawa has a new show starting on Sept. 20th at the Richard Goodall Gallery in Manchester, ENGLAND! Ooh, I wish I could be there to see it (and catch an EPL game too; a Lady Hooligan can dream).
2) Lady Lorelei attended the opening of the Taryn Simon photography exhibit at the Gagosian Gallery in Beverly Hills, and she definitely recommends checking it out.

I can't take much more of...
Tyra and crew's lameness on ANTM! Due to Tyra's antics and "skits", the show is getting worse and worse. But, of course, I did enjoy tonight's make-over portion and photo session.
The LH gang and I will be betting on our picks for the winner before next week's episode. But overall, it looks like this might be the last cycle we'll be gambling on and possibly tuning into; there's only so much we can take of Tyra.
I think (foxy judge) Nigel needs a show of his own 'cause I'd definitely tune into that (unless his wife was featured on it).

What's this? What's this?
The official 2009 ATP calendar features top tennis pros showing a little skin!?! Hey now!
Unfortunately, Marat Safin and Robby Ginepri are missing from its pages, but I might buy a copy anyway.

John Terry's red card from over the weekend was overturned AND Chelsea won their first Champions League game 4-0 against Bordeaux today! I am one happy Lady Hooligan!

Saturday Movie Review
Bill and I saw the French thriller, TELL NO ONE (Ne Le Dis A Personne), today, and we both thought it was quite good. The movie had me when it opened with Otis Redding's "For Your Precious Love" playing, and I also very much enjoyed the seedy French hooligan characters in the flick.
LHK Sporting News
So much to watch today (and so little time)!
1) The U.S. Open Men's semi-finals are today (coverage starts at 8am PST on CBS). And, the Women's FINAL is on at prime-time (well, 5pm PST on CBS).
2) There are a bunch of 2010 World Cup qualifiers as well. I'm going to try and check out Saudi Arabia vs. Iran (on FSC at 1pm PST). The U.S. takes on Cuba today as well (airing at 5pm PST on FSC). Unfortunately, I think England vs. Andorra is only on pay-per-view; boo!
P.S. Happy Birthday, Uncle Cy!
